Under the Ropes represents women's traditional entry into the ring, reflecting social hierarchy and superstition. Emma Thomas — writer, activist, and former fighter — has lived in Bangkok since 2011. Her blog documents her experiences as a female Muay Thai fighter, addressing gender discrimination in the sport.
